General Information

Registration Deadline

• Registration deadline is 30th November, when all deposits must have been paid

Governance

• The event will be conducted in accordance with the competition rules and provisions of British Wheelchair Basketball (BWB)

Eligibility

• A team must compile of players aged 40 and over, with their age determined as of 31st December 2027

• For each team to be confirmed, a minimum of 5 athletes need to be registered, with a maximum of 12 athletes per team

• It is mandatory for each team to have a coach, non-playing official or nominated athlete as the team representative

Health Declaration

• Athletes should carefully evaluate whether their physical condition is suitable for participating in the competition. If they suffer from cardiovascular or other diseases that make them not suitable to engage strenuous exercise, seeking doctor’s advice is recommended to evaluate whether they can safely participate in the History Games

Tournament Categories

• The tournament will be for Mixed teams (Men & Women on the same team)

• There will be both 5v5 and 3x3 competitions

• There will be a round robin tournament, with finals and playoff matches to determine final placings

• The final draw format will be determined once the number of teams is confirmed

Dates

• 25th - 28th March 2026

Awarding

• The top 3 teams in each category will be awarded the gold medal, silver medal and bronze medal respectively

• The medal ceremonies will be held as part of the Closing Ceremony
